How to equip Skins inXDefiant
As you playXDefiant, you’ll notice that you’re unlocking weapon Skins as you usethe best weapons. Every weapon has Skin options, the question is: how do you equip them? That’s the fun part, you don’t.
For some reason, Ubisoft has deactivated the ability to equip Skins during theXDefiantBeta. While you are unlocking weapon skins, you’re able to’t equip them. We guess that Ubisoft did this so players can just focus on getting and equipping the best attachments. It’s not the best reason, but it’s possibly the only thing that makes sense.
When theXDefiantBeta concludes and the game officially launches, weapon Skins will be useable just like in any other FPS. However, for now, weapon skins are off-limits.
Will the Skins carry over to the full release ofXDefiant?
Your next question might be if you can use the Skins you unlock now in the full release ofXDefiant. Luckily, the answer to this isyes.
As you play theXDefiantBeta, you’ll unlock weapon Skins as you use a specific gun. These weapon Skins can’t be equipped now, but they don’t disappear either. WhenXDefiantlaunches globally, you’ll be able to hop right into the game, equip your weapon Skins that you grinded for, and show off to the newbies.
It’s a bummer and an enigma why Skins aren’t available during theXDefiantBeta, butit is what it is. At least the weapon Skins you earn now save and carry over to theXDefiantfull release. The best you can do now is continue to grind for those weapon Skins and enjoy them later.
