Selecting Latina actress Sasha Calle for the role of Supergirl, the director announced the final introduction via Instagram. Going through a talent pool of four hundred auditions Muschietti finally chose Calle for the highly anticipated role.
It was further confirmed that the actress will play the role in not justThe Flash, but many other features to come. Finally, starting with shoots and production, Sasha Calle eventually delivered a breathtaking performance onscreen. Released today, on the 16th of June,The Flashfeaturing Calle alongside the lightning-fast superheroEzra Milleris anticipated to mesmerize the audience.

Dominating the screen, upon her appearance, Sasha Calle became the highlight ofThe Flashas the alien aka Supergirl. Fans appeared fixated over a Latina actress’ appearance as Supergirl since the character is traditionally a blonde-haired and blue-eyed Kryptonian woman.
It’s not just the actress’ appearance that bothered fans, but even her suit was criticized by netizens, on Twitter. Although a close-up look of her suit shared via Instagram earned praises from fans, leaked images perplexed the audiences as the suit didn’t appear quite as it was expected. Pointing out multiple issues with the way it looks, fans even mentioned how the Supergirl suit had a hard-to-overlook resemblance with the suit of Spiderwoman.
