As a result, Selleck’s turn as NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan is finally ending, leaving the actor ready to explore newer pastures.

According to the actor himself, searching for those pastures might land him in Taylor Sheridan’s universe. The producer has delivered several hit Western shows and Selleck admitted that one actor’s involvement in Sheridan’s universe is why he is excited to join it. Here is what Selleck had to say about wanting to work with Sheridan and the actor he wants to reunite with.

I’m open to suggestions because I love Frank Reagan, but nobody’s really asked. I don’t see him retiring and going off somewhere.

Selleck made the above statement, confirming that while he was open to playing Frank Reagan again, there were no immediate plans for a spin-off involving the character.

The actor also suggested that instead of reprising the role in a small-town setting, he would prefer to work on theJesse Stonefranchise.
