7Business School (Season 3, Episode 17)

In this episode, Pam and Michael’s friendship is explored to a fuller extent than in the past three seasons. Viewers and fans know that the two characters have a somewhat dependent relationship; Michael relying on Pam for almost everything, and Pam begrudgingly going along with it. However, he comes through for Pam in this episode, when he shows up to her art show, in full support of her. The only other person from the office that came was Oscar, and he harshly critiqued her paintings without knowing she was behind him, so Michael showing up was a big deal. He complimented her pictures and asked if he could even buy one; Pam’s eyes welling with tears as he admires her artwork. It’s a special moment that’s often overlooked within the series.

6Customer Loyalty (Season 9, Episode 12)

In previous episodes, Pam and Jim had arguments that hadn’t lasted more than the twenty minutes it premiered on. However, in season nine, their relationship seems to be put to the test as they constantly bicker and find reasons to argue. In this episode, they have a massive fight; Jim is frustrated when Pam doesn’t film their daughter’s dance recital. He’s taken a job far away, so he’s not there for it when he promised he would be, creating tension and strain on the day. When Pam fails to capture the dance, the fight escalades. It results with Jim hanging up and Pam breaking into tears, with Brian the sound guy walking forward and consoling her. Fandom states thatBrian developed a crush for Pam the same way Jim didafter all the years of working together, creating even more tension between the married couple.

2Niagara Part 2 (Season 6, Episode 5)

It’s the wedding that fans were waiting for in the entire six seasons it was on at that point in the series. In pure sitcom fashion, a series of unfortunate events take place before the actual ceremony, such as Kevin losing his shoes, Dwight sleeping with Pam’s best friend, and Andy tearing his scrotum. However, things seem to tip over, as Pam tears her veil, and Jim has to step in and calm her down by cutting off the end of his tie. It’s a beautiful moment that confirms that the two belong together, especially when they escape to Niagra Falls and get married on a boat. Not only that, but the entire office does a dance routine down the aisle, eliciting several hilarious moments.

1Goodbye Michael (Season 7, Episode 21)

Arguably one of the most emotional moments in the show was Michael’s departure. He doesn’t make it known to his associates that it’s his last day, but plans to have a special moment with all of them, so it’s not as sad as it would be. However, Jim puts the pieces together and delivers one of his best dialog pieces of the entire show, tellingMichael how special of a boss he was. At the end of the day, Michael hasn’t gotten his special moment with Pam since she’s been gone for the entire work day, so he heads to the airport without saying goodbye. At the last second, before Michael gets to his gate, Pam appears and runs after him barefoot. The two have a tearful goodbye that made fans cry but also feel a sense of contentment.
