Robert McCall doesn’t need a gun to ruin someone’s day. That’s the message relayed in the latest teaser,No Gun, No Problem, for director Antoine Fuqua’sThe Equalizer 3. Fans of the film series already know that Denzel Washington’s character Robert McCall can accomplish anything he sets his mind to. And even without a firearm, McCall is virtually unstoppable when he starts up that stopwatch of his. Remember that guy McCall jacked up with just a credit card inThe Equalizer 2? Check out the brand-new teaser (viaInstagram) below:

In the teaser, actor Andrea Scarduzio’s character Vincent Quaranta is getting acquainted with the justice-seeking Mr. McCall — up close and personal. “You seem like a man who understands violence,” Vincent says. The new teaser then shows McCall making use of a fireplace poker to take out one bad guy — violently. Perhaps, it’s just the way the trailer is cut together, but someone’s head is being yanked backwards. In another video (below) it’s revealed that McCall drives the poker through the back of the man’s head or neck. The scene is very dark, so it is hard to conclusively tell.

In the new footage, Robert then engages the same baddie fromThe Equalizer 3trailer. McCall uses his own thumb to crush his opponent’s hand — compressing the median nerve — and easily subduing his opponent. Finally, McCall takes a wine bottle and smashes it into the face of a tattooed assailant like he’s christening a ship on its maiden voyage!

Robert McCall Doesn’t Need a Gun

Director Antoine Fuqua’sThe Equalizer 3finds Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) living abroad in Italy. While the setting might have changed, McCall is still hellbent on protecting those he cares about. And when the Sicilian Mafia threatens the lives of the Italians he’s grown so fond of, McCall prepares to equalize — oh, those wonderful puns — the playing field.

Dakota Fanning shows upin the new footage, too, as she converses with McCall at either a café or restaurant. “You’re a person of interest,” Fanning’s character says. To which McCall responds: “I’m an interesting person.” The film’s hero smiles as he fiddles with a spoon. Hopefully, the server doesn’t give McCall or his friend any attitude because the new trailer has already shown what the “Equalizer” can do with his bare hands, a wine bottle and a fire poker.

The advertising and promotional wheels are in full motion, and the trailers and teasers all seem to be promising one thing: pain! If only the bad guys knew to just pack up their bags and walk away. But just like Nicolai Itchenko (Marton Csokas) — or Teddy, if fans prefer — inThe Equalizerand Dave York (Pedro Pascal) inThe Equalizer 2, the Sicilian Mob is going to get a good, long look at McCall’s trademark stopwatch over the Labor Day weekend.
