Warning! This article contains SPOILERS for Star Wars: The Acolyte episode 1-3.
Summary
We’re now three episodes intoThe Acolyte, and here’s how we’d officially rank them according to power. There are a variety of different factors that can contribute to just how powerful a character is. Some of these include raw strength, proficiency with the Force, experience, and even the ability to handle one’s emotions. However, these characters also have their own flaws, which can detract from how powerful they are, sometimes in pretty blatant ways.
When it comes toThe Acolyte, matters are complicated by a 16-year time jump for some of the characters - which means the power-levels of someAcolytecharacters, such as Torbin, vary quite significantly. What’s more, the identity of the mysterious Sith Lord is still a mystery, meaning these estimates could change. Still, here’s our ranking ofThe Acolyte’s main characters by power level.

All 18 Star Wars Easter Eggs In The Acolyte Episodes 3
The Acolyte episode 3 features a wealth of exciting new Easter eggs and references, connecting to major elements of the overall Star Wars canon.
10Qimir Is Easily Overwhelmed By The Jedi
But He Could Be Hiding A Dark Secret
When Qimir is first shown inThe Acolyteepisode 2, “Revenge/Justice,”he is relatively unassuming. He is sarcastic, speaking casually to Mae Aniseya and playing the part of the roguishStar Warsarchetype. However, despite the fact he was capable of creating the poison that killed Master Torbin and quickly discovered that Osha Aniseya was only pretending to be her sister, he was easily overwhelmed by the Jedi when they came to assist Osha.
At face value, Qimir is the least powerful of the show’s roster of main characters. This is subject to change, however,as many fans believe thatQimir might secretly be the Sith Lordtraining Mae in the dark side of the Force. If he was actually a powerful Sith, his power compared to the other characters would be considerable, and he would likely move up in the rankings.

9Jecki Lon Is A Capable Padawan
But She Is Still Learning The Ways Of The Force
One of the standout characters of the new series is Jecki Lon, a Theelin-human hybrid and Padawan of Master Sol. She is headstrong and courageous, and though she has not yet proven herself in an actual fight, herquick thinking gave the main characters their plan to send Osha in to see Qimir, pretending to be Mae.She is clearly capable and intelligent, and she is able to pilot Master Sol’s ship on her own.
Despite all of this, Jecki is still a Padawan learning the ways of the Force. Her training has not yet finished, and because of that, compared to many of the other characters, she is not yet quite as strong. With more training and some proven combat experience, Jecki could quickly become one of the most competent characters inThe Acolyte.

8Osha Aniseya Was Trained As A Jedi
But It Has Been Years Since She Trained
Osha is one ofThe Acolyte’s main characters, and she clearly has a lot of untapped potential. The Acolyteepisode 3 revealed that she was once in training to become a witch along with her sister, Mae, and that the two are clearly special - potentially conceived by the power of the Force itself. Some have even speculated Osha and Mae could together be aForce Dyad, and if so they’ll rise through the ranks of this listing as a combined force.
However, it has been six long years between Osha leaving the Jedi Order and the beginning of the show.In the first episode, “Lost/Found,” she is even seen struggling to use the Force in order to grab her droid and free herself from her cell, almost completely cut off from her connection to it.It is likely that later on in the series Osha will come into her powers more fully, but for now she will remain lower on the list.

7Yord Fandar Has A Padawan Of His Own
But He Has Yet To Become A Jedi Master
Although he has not yet achieved the rank of Master, Yord Fandar has his fair share of positive qualities that make him a capable Jedi. Not only is he shown to be diplomatic when dealing with the Trade Federation, but he is also quick to action and defensive when drawing his lightsaber—a lightsaber that just so happens to be yellow. He can even admit when he has been wrong, as seen in the second episode when he follows Osha, proving her innocence in the death of Master Torbin despite initially believing that she was the one killing Jedi.
This way of operating does not come without its downsides, however. Because Yord is so quick to action, it has resulted in him being quite stubborn, as he initially does not accept that Osha is innocent when there is evidence that Mae is the one killing Jedi. He instead believes that the two could be in on it together, despite there being no evidence to back his theory. This attitude could inevitably be his downfall, as holding on to beliefs such as this and thinking the worst of those around him could lead to paranoia down the line.

Here’s your essential guide on every rank of Jedi in the Star Wars universe — from Initiative to Padawan, from Knight to Grand Master.
6Master Torbin Has An Incredible Command Of The Force
But He Lacks The Experience Of Other Masters
By the time Master Torbin appears in the series, he has already taken aBarash Vowand cut himself off from the world around him.In taking this vow, he managed to create an impenetrable barrier between him and the outside world in one of the most simple but also most effective uses of the Force yet seen in the franchise.Mae is completely unable to break through this barrier in her attempt to assassinate him. If this is any indicator as to how powerful he is in a fight, then he would surely have been a formidable opponent.
Though Master Torbin’s command of the Force is admirable, his downfall was eventually at his own hand. When Mae presents him with a deadly poison, he takes it, but not before apologizing to her, explaining that the Jedi thought they were doing the right thing. This, coupled with the fact that he was Master Indara’s Padawan during his time on Brendok, makes for a Jedi Master who is keeping some serious secrets hidden from public knowledge even in death.
5Master Indara Showed Remarkable Talent
But She Was Still Killed By Mae
In what was an incredible fight scene to openThe Acolyteseries, Master Indara faced off against Mae in what was inevitably a fight to the death. Her defensive strategy is solid, with her only drawing her lightsaber once Mae clearly shows herself to be armed.Throughout the fight it is clear that Indara is the better combatant, but still Mae triumphs in the end and finishes the fight by killing her in cold blood.
She does this by bringing innocents into the fight, throwing a knife at a bystander and his child and forcing Indara to act. She catches the knife using the Force, drawing her attention away from Mae for one crucial moment. It is through manipulating this act of kindness that, despite Indara’s clear experience over Mae, Mae defeats her with a single knife through her chest.
4Mae Aniseya Has All The Power Befitting A Sith Acolyte
But Her Emotions Get In The Way Of True Strength
Out of all of the characters introduced so far, Mae is the character whose powers and strengths have been shown the most through battle. Not only has she fought with Master Indara, but she also had a brief altercation with Master Sol that ended in her swiftly escaping from the planet to find Master Kelnacca. She is well-trained in using both her knives and the Force, and is able to get in and out of tight situations mostly unseen.
Even though she is incredibly capable on her own, there are certain moments that really show her inexperience. When she is discussing her plans to kill Master Torbin with Qimir, she comes across more as an incredibly powerful trainee that still needs a little bit of help figuring things out. This, coupled with the rage she has directed towards the Jedi, only serves to slow her down. Once she is able to stand on her own without the assistance of others, it is possible she could become one of the most powerful characters in the show.
3Master Kelnacca Has Size And Experience
But He Has Yet To Truly Show What He Is Capable Of
The Wookiees are an incredibly powerful species that has been a part of theStar Warsfranchise since the very beginning. Although Master Kelnacca has not been seen much in these first few episodes, some assumptions can be made about him based on other characters in the franchise, such as fan favorite Wookiee co-pilot Chewbacca. Not only is he a Jedi Master, but he is also likely capable of incredible feats of strength on his own without the help of the Force. He is also seen working on electronics in the third episode, showing that he is incredibly tech-savvy as well.
Despite all these apparent positives, they are still just assumptions, as Kelnacca still has yet to be fully featured in an episode. He has not been seen in a fight, nor has he been seen using any abilities that one could singularly attribute to the Jedi. It is likely that more information about Kelnacca will be coming soon, as Mae is fully on her way to find the Jedi Master at the end of the second episode.
2Master Sol Has Mastered Patience And Strength
But He Still Comes Across As Naive
ThroughoutThe Acolyteso far, Master Sol has been a constant and level-headed protagonist. Out of all the characters, he is the most likely to think things through, trusting those around him and making decisions carefully. He is also quite skilled in a fight, as his practiced movements in his fight against Mae coupled with his teamwork with the other Jedi inevitably brought the group a win, even if Mae escaped.
His trust could also be a negative, however, asMaster Sol is completely convinced that he could win Mae over despite the fact she seems set on killing him along with the other Jedi that were stationed on Brendok. It almost comes across as naive, with him believing so firmly in the goodness of others that it could inevitably cause trouble for him down the line. Only time will tell, but it is possible that if this keeps up he could meet a similar end to that of Master Indara.
1Vernestra Rwoh Is An Incredibly Experienced Jedi
Her History Goes Back To The Star Wars Comics
With so much of her history cataloged in otherStar Warsmedia,Vernestra Rwohis one of the High Republic Era characters that fans know the most about.Becoming a Jedi Knight when she was only fifteen years old, she was something of a prodigy, both a capable combatant and an experienced strategist. She has lived through quite a bit of the High Republic Era, with her being even older than Master Sol.
Although she has yet to appear in much of the current series, she has shown that even inThe Acolyteshe is a capable Jedi. She agrees that Mae is the one responsible for the Jedi’s deaths rather quickly, though she insists on the group returning to the Jedi Council before visiting Kelnacca, possibly putting the Jedi Master in danger. Once more episodes of the series finally release, viewers will be able to see whether or not this was a good decision.
