This is a Viper-5 modified to have a higher rate of fire, and fitted with a 40-round drum mag. The additional capacity makes this weaponperfect to vaporize any bloodsucker that tries to jump you, without the long reload times of shotguns.
The Sniper’s Wish Granter
Wild Island
An elite Monolith sniper was wielding this modified Dragunov rifle during the legendary assault on the CNPP by both Strelok and the Ukrainian military. Now, you get to play with it after a quest in Noontide Base.
The Lynx beats the average SVDM-2 in accuracy and damage, thanks to a modified barrel. It isperfect for missions against enemies with exoskeletonswho can shrug off assault rifle shots, and it comes with a sick Monolith paint job.
Finders Keepers
If you are a good guy, you will return this weapon to its owner as you enter the Slag Heap. However, a little bit of mischief never hurt anybody, especially in Bandit territory.
This muddy AKM-74S comes withcoupled mags for faster reload times, and the GP-25 underbarrel grenade launcher. If that is not enough, you may stillattach a PSO-1 scopeand a silencer to it as it becomes available.
The Spetsnaz Fantasy
The Special is an AKM-74U kitted out in classic spetsnaz fashion, with a PBS-4 suppressor, a set of coupled mags, and a Kobra red dot on the top.
At only 2.6kg, this isthe perfect all-purpose weapon for long raidswhere you might want to bring a lot of loot back. you’re able to pick it up in the mill, south of the Cordon railway bridge.
When More Is More
The RPM-74 general purpose machine gun is a formidable weapon on its own, but some creative type decided that good is not enough in the Zone.
The Glutton has a new stock, a Kobra red dot sight, and uses the ammunition box from the tank version of the gun, withan eye-watering 244 rounds. On the downside, this weapon is over 1kg heavier than the original version.

We love a 5.56x45mm DMR, and the Clusterfuck provides just that. This isan AR416 fitted with a silencer and a scope. If you add a laser aiming module with a technician, it becomes the perfect weapon for all ranges.
You can pick this up at the sniper’s nest in Zaton during The Three Captains side quest, regardless of whether you take the shot or not. With some improvements, this gun takes you all the way to Pripyat and back without breaking a sweat.
Tacticool Goodness
If the AR416 was not ‘operator’ enough for you, the SOFMOD will take care of that. This gun looks like an airsoft player built, witha foregrip, a red dot, a long barrel, and a uniquely shaped Osprey silencer.
This gun is lying around inside the Railway Maintenance Facility in Zaton, in a building by the southern corner. The main downside here is that you cannot replace the red dot for an ACOG, but that’s easy to get over.
