Dragon’s Dogma 2 features many heavy decision-making scenarios, likepoisoning a river, with consequences that either haunt or reward the Arisen. One such scenario is a side quest called A Beggar’s Tale, in which you’ll have to choose between giving Hilda or Celina the Beggar’s Garb.
This guide will show you both outcomes of the tale so you can decide which character to choose for this side quest.

Should you give Hilda or Celina the Beggar’s Garb in Dragon’s Dogma 2?
A Beggar’s Tale is truly a tale of two lives and wives, as giving the Beggar’s Garb to either Hilda or Celina will have two drastically different outcomes. If you decide to give theBeggar’s Garb to Hilda(Noble), after a few days, she’ll simply tell you Albert got a real job now, and you won’t be seeing him in the Merchant Square anymore. Hilda will give you3x Onyxand900 XPfor your troubles.
If you choose to give the Beggar’s Garb to Celina, you’d best be prepared for the consequences. After a few days, go back to Albert’s actual house in the Noble area, and you’ll find a guard standing by Albert’s door. The guard will inform you about a grim murder in whichCelina killed Albertand eventuallykilled herself. For this ending, you’ll get3000G, 1 Noonbloom,and900 XP.

However, there is athird and hidden optionfor this quest, which is not presented in the quest log. you’re able to give theBeggar’s Garb back to Albertjust outside of his house. He’ll be able to resumeposing as a beggarwhile continuing his relationship withhis two wives. For this outcome, you’ll receive5000G and 900 XP.
Quest Outcome Summary
Give to Hilda: 3x Onyx, 900 XP and no more “beggar” at the Merchant Square.
Give to Celina: 3000G, 1 Noonbloom, 900 XP, and death of Celina and Albert.
Give to Albert: 5000G, 900 XP, and a “nothing happened” scenario.
I recommendgiving the Beggar’s Garb back to Albert, but not because I condone his actions; it’s simply none of the Arisen’s business, and it’s best if nobody dies in this scenario. you may argue giving it to Hilda is also ideal, but then again, Albert won’t be around anymore to possibly give you quests or items later on in the game.
