AlthoughNick Furywas absent from various crossovers, he has been part of the story. Especially inAvengers: Endgame, when it was indicated that Fury fell victim to Thanos’ snap, joining the ranks of those who were affected.
However, unable to grasp the nuances of his absence from the $1.15 billion grossing 2016 sequelCaptain America: Civil War, Jackson shared his confusion in an interview. He said,
“I was trying to figure out where I was during Civil War when the kids were fighting, and I wasn’t there to say, ‘Everybody go to your room.’ Where was I during Endgame? It’s harder for me not to be there than to be there.”
Reportedly as MCU enters Phase 5, Nick Fury is set to return to the forefront of Marvel Studios with the upcomingSecret Invasionseries.

Moreover, Jackson also indicated that theSecret Invasionseries will play a vital role in understanding the events ofThe Marvels, an upcomingMarvel Cinematic Universemovie scheduled for release in November. While thePulp Fictionactor did not divulge further details, his statement suggested a significant connection between the two projects.
