Looking ahead to the next big summer event, Capcom announced via social media that both games will be available to try out between August 20 and 24 this year.
“We’re thrilled to announce thatResident Evil RequiemandOnimusha: Way of the Swordwill be playable worldwide for the first time—exclusively at Gamescom 2025! Don’t forget to stop by Capcom’s booth if you’re visiting Cologne between August 20 and 24.”

Attendees atGamescom 2025will be able to experience first- and third-person horror inResident Evil 9, and hack away with the power of the Oni in the newOnimushatitle.
If you’re one of the lucky ones attending the video game and tech conventionin Cologne, Germany, you’ll be glad to know that two of the most anticipated games of 2026 will be playable during the four-day event.
Companies like Nintendo and Ubisoft will also be present atGamescom 2025, an edition marked by increased ticket prices due to a rise in viewership for Opening Night Live.
Two Major 2026 Releases Available to Play
