Resting for the night is incredibly important inDragon’s Dogma 2. While you can camp out on the open road to regain your health, staying at an inn is the safest way to heal up.

A night at a decent inn will normally set you back one or two thousand gold, but thePilgrims’ Innin Bakbattahl charges a whopping9,999gfor a single night. That’s an insane amount, and you shouldn’t pay it no matter how weary you are from your travels or how low yourloss gaugeis.

Dragon’s Dogma Bakbattahl Pilgrim’s Inn

If you need somewhere to stay in Bakbattahl, then walk a few steps further into town and stay at theother Pilgrims’ Innnext to The Wanderer’s Haven tavern and the town’s oxcart. They chargenormal pricesover there, which makes the 9,999g asking price from the “flagship” Pilgrims’ Inn feel like highway robbery.

The thing is, it quite likely is highway robbery. Think about your previous inn experiences in Dragon’s Dogma 2. They’re usually in thecenterof towns and don’t cost you your life’s savings for a single night’s stay. There’s usually onlyone inn per town, too.

Now, when you think about the so-called “flagship” Pilgrims’ Inn, things start to get fishy. Why is this inn locatedright at the entranceof Bakbattahl? Why is the ownercharging an insane amount?Since the road from the Checkpoint Rest Town to Bakbattahl is so perilous and long, there’s only one answer. It’s a scam.Arkholtz, proprietor of the flagship Pilgrims’ Inn, is looking to make a quick buck off of weary travelers who are too desperate to complain.

I’ve ruled out every other possibility, too. At first, I thought it was because I was traveling withPawns, which the Beastren ofBakbattahlaren’t too fond of. Then, I thought it was because I was a human and not aBeastren. Even arriving at the inn alone (I safely revived my Pawns afterward, don’t worry) and wearing a Beastren Mask, I was still met with a sky-high price. This man is a scammer.

If you need to rest in Bakbattahl, just go to the other Pilgrims’ Inn location in town.Gold is too hard to come byin Dragon’s Dogma 2 for it to be wasted like that. Keep an eye out for other tricks when traveling the world in Dragon’s Dogma 2 as well, or else you might end uppurchasing a fake item.
