Poppy Playtime is not just a captivating horrorindie game. It’s full of hidden details and secrets in every chapter that’s released so far. These Easter eggs add to the lore or just exist to give you extra thrills and fun.
Poppy Playtime: Every Boss Fight, Ranked from Easiest to Hardest
Just about everything wants to kill you, but who does it the best?
Now that we’re four chapters in (as of the time of this writing), there are plenty of secrets to find. We’ve collated some of the most shocking secrets to discover so far. It’s time to pay Huggy Wuggy and Mommy Long Legs another visit.

17Living Toys, Not Animatronics
Endless and Twisted Experiments
One of the first details you get about the lore in Poppy Playtime is that these are living beings, not animatronics. These creatures are certainly not like the ones we find inFive Nights at Freddy’s. In Poppy’s maintenance tape, you see them remove her voice box which is covered in blood.
Meanwhile, when Huggy Wuggy falls to his so-called “death,” he leaves a splattered blood trail. Additionally, the website released alongside the game lets you view the Security Feed. One of the tapes showed a broken Cat-Bee before cutting to it disappearing, leaving behind a bloody trail on the ground.

16Huggy Wuggy is Always Watching
At Least You’re Never Alone
Huggy Wuggy stands as a statue when we first dive deeper into Playtime Co., but he soon vanishes. That’s not the last we see of him. Keep your eyes peeled, and you’ll see that he’s stalking you.
He peeks through a vent at one point before abruptly closing it. Another time, you may see his arm slip out of a room into the hallway you’re in before sliding back out of sight. It’s almost like he’s playing with his food like a certain cat will do in Chapter 3.

15The Limon
It’s Not Your Ordinary Lemon
Limon is the Easter egg that never goes away. Named after the Spanish word for “lemon,” Limon is simply a lemon you can find and carry around with you. InChapters 1 and 3, you can only find Limon with hacks.
14Celebrity Cameos
He Looks Familiar
You’ll always want to play any VHS tapes you come across to enhance the lore. On one tape, there’s an interview with an employee who is portrayed by YouTuber Jacksepticeye.
8 Best Hollywood Celebrity Appearances in Video Games
Hollywood celebrities have made their appearances in video games, with these being the best ones.
Another tape has a different cameo. The interview is with Jimmy Roth, marketing director for Playtime Co., who famed horror director Eli Roth plays.

13Foreshadowing Poster
Pay Attention to Your Surroundings
Poppy Playtime isn’t shy about foreshadowing, leaving hidden details as various points in the game. Early on, we see just how we’re going to kill Mommy Long Legs.
Check out the posters all around. One warns you to keep your GrabPack secure and away from heavy machinery at the risk of dismemberment. It’s the exact machine Mommy Long Legs will slip into after the final boss fight with her.

12Discarded Poppy Audio
There’s a Deeper Plot at Play
To hear this audio, you’ll need to dig into the game’s code. It’s discarded audio from Poppy from her final words on the train. She mentions your potential and implies that everyone has been gone for some time.
More importantly, she blames herself and her existence for why everything went wrong. She also makes it clear in this audio that she believes you’ll make it all right again.
11The Rejected Toy Room
There’s a Meme Waiting For You
The Rejected Room is full of rejected toys, but it’s also a puzzle room you must solve. Search around the room until you notice the group of Owen the Ovens. Pull one of them away to find a secret message on the back stating, “Why do they call it oven when of in the cold food of out hot eat the food?”
If it sounds confusing, that’s because it’s meant to be. It’s from a Tweet more than a decade old that became anever-ending meme.
10A Hidden Name
Someone Doesn’t Want to be Known
After you go down the hole where Mommy Long Legs kidnaps Poppy, don’t move on from the area. Instead, turn around, and right across from the Game Station door is a collection of slides.
Each slide has the name of an employee above it except for the last one. That name has been torn off with the letters scattered like someone was hiding who they were. It’s unsure if this is just an Easter egg or if it will pay off later in the final Poppy Playtime chapter.
9Kissy Missy’s Various Encounters
No Menacing Lurking Here
Unlike with Huggy Wuggy, Kissy Missy shows up at different points, but isn’t stalking you. One time, she sits on a bed in a room in Home Sweet Home. She won’t move. Instead, she just stares at a picture of a little girl.
Another time, she sends silent encouragement before you reach Miss Delight. Look up on the platform as you approach the school to see Kissy Missy lean over the railing and wave.
8Cardboard Critter Screams
Cries of Terror and Pain
Chapter 3 of Poppy Playtime contains several cool cardboard cutouts that only really exist to add to the lore. But the Smiling Critters do more than just state generic phrases.
Press the buttons enough times, and you’ll get more and more threatening messages. There are also screams and cries (usually), telling us just how sinister things became in Playtime Co.
