Phantom Blade Zero: The Star of Gamescom 2025
We’re still waiting for arelease dateforPhantom Blade Zero, the promising hack-and-slash action RPG fromS-GAME. It’s the first project from the Chinese studio led byWill Chen, based on the 2010 gameRainblood: Town of Death.
Inspired byFromSoftwareand its challengingsoulslikes, the creators insist it’snota traditional Souls game, though it will feature a difficulty mode almost comparable toPvP.

Recently, we saw anepic 22-minute gameplay, but that’s just the start of a long road to its PS5 and PC release. Rumors suggest aFall 2026launch, so we can rule out seeing it this year.
Phantom Blade Zerowill be one of the main attractions atGamescom 2025, where attendees will get hands-on with afree one-hour demo.

The demo focuses onlevel designandboss battles. We don’t know if it will be the same as the one tested in 2024, but if it is, it’s going to bevery impressive.
