Atlus recently announced that sales for their popular JRPG,Persona 5, has exceeded 2 million copies sold, worldwide.
Persona 5- Strong Sales!
To mark this achievement, President and CEO of Atlus USA Naoto Hiraoka, states in a press release: “This has been an incredible year for our company, one that represents our ambitions for Japanese games in the west”.
Then goes on to say: “We are in the middle of experiencing tremendous growth, both in the west and abroad, and the sales ofPersona 5represent a new level of expectation for fans of the genre. Once seen as niche,Persona 5is one of the most important titles this year, proving interest in this category is expanding. We look forward to delivering more incredible games to our fans next year”.
Furthermore, in celebration of this milestone, well-known franchise character designer Shigenori Soejima, drew up and shared the following artwork.
Aside from setting strong sales,Persona 5also nabbed rewards at thePlayStation Awards 2017andJapan Game Awards 2017events. And if you haven’t heard, Atlus may have their hearts open to aPC port of the game.
Persona 5is now available on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
