MrBeast sues ex-employee for stealing company secrets and using hidden cameras in office
YouTubesuperstar Jimmy ‘MrBeast‘ Donaldson has initiated legal proceedings against a former employee, Leroy Nabors, alleging misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, and unauthorized surveillance within the company’s offices.
Nabors, initially hired in 2023 as an IT contractor, was responsible for managing Beast Industries’ IT network, including servers containing post-production content.
He later transitioned to the “special projects” team within the development department, focusing on content production, fundraising, and political advocacy. His employment was terminated on June 16, 2025.
According to the lawsuit, first spotted byPolygon, Nabors downloaded over a thousand confidential files from the company’s Google Vault, including sensitive information about business strategy, financial data, capitalization tables, financing documents, and personal details of employees.
The complaint states, “Nabors downloaded more than one thousand Beast confidential files,” suggesting he anticipated his termination and took proactive measures to secure these documents.

Additionally, the company discovered multiple hidden cameras installed throughout the office premises.
The lawsuit asserts that Nabors was known among colleagues for covertly recording meetings and alleges that he was responsible for installing and operating these surveillance devices.
This legal action adds to a series of litigation involving MrBeast. In 2024, former employee Dawson French, known as DogPack404,accused MrBeast of fraudulentactivities and maintaining a toxic work environment.
DogPack released videos alleging that MrBeast manipulated content and engaged in unethical practices. In response, MrBeast’s legal team, led by attorney Alex Spiro, issued cease-and-desist letters,contesting the veracity of his claimsand citing violations of non-disclosure agreements.

At the time of writing, representatives for both MrBeast and Leroy Nabors have not provided public comments regarding the ongoing lawsuit. The case is currently pending in North Carolina state court.
