The 18-year-old actress has played a leading role for four seasons so far, in which we’ve seen a complete transformation in how the character is portrayed on screen.

Now, Brown is gearing up for the fifth and final season in the series, which should be the wildest audiences have seen yet.Stranger Things 4upped the production level across the board with excellent virtual and practical effects and a broader story ranging from the cold tundra of Russia to southern California and, of course, Hawkins.

After spending the last six years of her career mainly with Netflix, Brown may be looking to branch out and expand her filmography. During an interview withCollider, the actress discussedStranger Thingscoming to a close and how she has feelings of sadness and excitement for the future.

“It has been a huge part of my life, and it will be sad for the most part, but there is an inkling of me being able to finally let go of her, and being able to free up some of my schedule to be able to tell some stories of my own.”

It’s not surprising to hear Brown’s wish to have a free schedule, as many actors associated with one character look to be recognized for something more later in their career. But, of course, the actress may always go hand in hand with Eleven andStranger Things, although she has cemented her spot as the titular character in another Netflix feature film franchise.
