Fishing in Palworld
To start fishing in Palworld, you’ll first need the proper gear. This means crafting aFishing Rodthat won’t betray you when you have something on the line. Then you’ll need Bait to bait the Pal fish, and catch them by completing the mini-game. I’ll break down the steps on how this works.
Unlock the Fishing Rod
Like every important thing in Palworld, theFishing Rodshave to be researched in the technology tab first. There are three types currently available, and you’ll have access to the basic one at level 15 of the Technology section.
Craft Fishing Rod
Once you have researched the Fishing Rod, you need to craft it at theHigh Quality Workbench. Each rod type requires different ingredients.
Craft Bait
The fishing rod is just one part of fishing; you’ll also need bait to lure in the fish. Bait can also be crafted at the High Quality Workbench.
Now that you have the bait and the fishing rod, you’re able to start fishing.

Fishing Mechanic in Palworld Explained
Fishing is pretty much possible everywhere there is water. So, head over to a beach, and you’ll see silhouettes underwater, which are pretty obviously fish pals.
This is the loop of fishing in Palworld. Better bait and equipment will result in better catch, and if you really enjoy the activity, you’ll want to invest in both.

Fishing In Your Base
While it’s great that you can fish in any water mass in Palworld, if you want to wish at your base, you can build aFishing Pondor aLarge Fishing Pondat your base after researching both in the technology tab.
