In Escape from Tarkov’s patch 0.16.6, they have secretly added (not in the patch notes) the RPG or rocket launcher questline. The quest starts with the Art of Explosion, and here’s how to finish the task fast in Escape from Tarkov.

How to Complete the Art of Explosion Quest in Escape from Tarkov

To finish the Art of Explosion quest, you must finish the following objective:

35 targets area lotof enemies. It’ll take more than three raids, but it is doable in two if you are lucky and patient enough. You must eliminate any 35 targets with grenades and grenade launchers, but options will be limited.

Grenade launchers are not available to 99% of players and are too expensive to use. At the time of writing, the FN40 GL barter costs over 1,000,000 Roubles, assuming you also unlocked the barter for it. Each round also costs around 100,000 or more, so it isn’t feasible. If you have money to spend, this is the best way to finish the quest, but here’s a way to finish the quest without spending millions.

First, you’ll need 35 or more grenades. F1s and RGDs should do the trick. Loadout for your preferred map, and I highly suggest Interchange because you want to farm Scavs instead of players for the quest.

The strategy would be shooting the Scav in the legs so they can’t run away, and then throwing a grenade at their feet to eliminate them. Scavs are smart, so they would stop whatever they are doing to walk away from the grenade when thrown.

The easiest way to hit them with the grenade, even when their legs are broken, is to use an overhand throw (right mouse button throw) directly at their feet. You can still miss since the grenade bounces, but you’ll get used to it faster with an overhanded throw since it has less bounce.

As for your loadout, you’ll want your preferred weapon, but if you are low on money, you can use cheap bullets instead since you’ll only shoot legs. If you encounter PMCs, I suggest completing the quest. If you come to the raid gear, you can play normally.

Using this strategy is quite dangerous at first, as you rely on the Scavs missing when you are about to throw the grenade. They miss quite often, but ensure to wear a helmet and class five armor.

The Best Place to Finish the Art of Explosion Task in Escape from Tarkov

The best place to finish the Art of Explosion task is in Interchange. Rush to the second floor of Interchange’s mall and go to the center. There are so many Scavs in this area, and even the ones below will go up the escalator to chase you there, giving you some sound cues on their location.

You may encounter some PMCs, but that’s the case everywhere. You are going to make a lot of noise with the grenades and all the running, but PMCs will refrain from engaging you if they are on the bottom floor. If they want to engage, they will most likely flank, which will take time.

Scavs get attracted to all the noises, so they’ll keep on coming to you on the second floor. You can even combine other quests like Decontamination Service and others.
