Doing fun things with your photos can make them more enjoyable to look through. We’ve shown you how tocreate a Google Photos movieand how tomake a collage in Google Photos. So how about creating an animation?
Google Photos lets you choose from two to 50 photos and turn them into a neat animation, here’s how.
Google Photos animations
Create an animation in Google Photos on iPhone and iPad
Open theGoogle Photos app on your iPhone or iPad. To create an animation, start from the Albums or For You tabs at the bottom.
Then tap to choose each photo you want in the animation. You can pick from two up to 50 photos. When you finish selecting pictures, tapCreateand your photo animation will display.
Edit your animation on iOS
Like with the Google Photos collage feature, you can apply a color filter, adjust the light or color settings, or crop and rotate your animation easily on iPhone and iPad.
With your new animation open, tap theEditbutton (settings icon). you may then move from left to right adjusting each of the options for Filter, Light and Color, or Crop and Rotate.
Keep in mind that you can currently only make these edits when you first create the animation, not later. Hopefully Google will change this down the road.
Create an animation in Google Photos on the web
Head toGoogle Photos onlineand sign in. Then visit one of these areas to make your nifty animation.
Next, select each of the photos you want to include in the animation. Then hit theCreatebutton and your animation will display.
You can then add it to an album, share it, or download it. Just select the animation and then use the buttons at the top.
Wrapping it up
An animation of your photos gives you a great way to see several related photos, one at a time, but together. And with Google Photos, creating that animation is a breeze.
