Capcom Is Looking To Bring Back More Dormant IPs
Good news for nostalgics amid a concerning trend in game dev.
When attacking Gravios, you mostly want toaim for its belly at the start of the fight. The reason for this is that Gravios has ahard shell that prevents his body parts from taking much damage.
Attacking his belly multiple times will remove its shell and the rest of his weak points will begin to take more damage.
How to Beat Gravios
If you’re going to take down Gravios once and for all, it’s important to know all about hisattack patterns.
The grid below shows his most deadly attacks and ways to counter them.
Description
Gravios will jump up and slam its entire body to the ground.
Dodge or run away from his landing point, then run toward its belly for some free hits as Gravios resets himself.
Gravios will pull his head back and then shoot a beam of fire out of his mouth directly in front of him.
Dodge out of the way to avoid the fire beam, and then run to his head or belly to deal damage as he’s locked in the breathing fire animation.
Gravios will roll toward the player, dealing high physical damage.
Dodge twice to the side where his tail is. Dodging the other way will most likely result in getting hit.
Gravios will belt out a large roar and shoot a stream of fire that hones in on the player.
Sprint off to the side or dodge to the back of Gravios, so the fire can’t reach you. Attack his belly as much as possible until he finishes the attack.
Ailment Fog
Gravios will pause and then let out a fog of either Poison, Sleep, or Fire.
Get out of there as fast as possible. If you manage to get hit with the ailment fog, useEnergy Drinkto cure Sleep,Nulberryto cure Fireblight, orAntidoteto cure Poison.
You should always counter in between all of these attacks, causing damage to Gravios' bellyto remove his shell.
After hitting his belly enough times, the shell will be destroyed and his attacks will become weaker and the other weak points (head, tail, and back) will take more damage.
Gravios Rewards
After taking down this big guy, you’ll be rewarded with many equipment materials, possibly a rare gem, and glowing orbs to create decorations.
The full list of rewards is below.
Remember, theseitem drops aren’t guaranteed on one hunt, and you may have to defeat Gravios multiple times to get them all.
