In a recent interview voice actor Doug Cockle revealed he would love to be a part of CD Projekt Red upcoming games such as The Witcher 4 as well as The Witcher Remake. The interview which took place between him and IGN touched upon his wish to continue playing The Witcher role.

I would love to just keep voicing Geralt until I can no longer voice anymore. It’s just become such a part of me. I’m thrilled every time CD Projekt calls me up and says, ‘Hey, Doug, are you available for such and such?’ And my heart does a little flutter and leaps, and I go, ‘Yes, of course I am,’ because I love it so much.

One with the Witcher

While the voice actor unfortunately doesn’t have any inside details on CD Projekt Red nor on Fool’s Theory direction for The Witcher Remake. But he would be willing to jump back in, even if the Witcher isn’t the main role. He shared he has “a lot of respect” for CD Projekt Red, and appreciates working together with the team on projects.

Polaris, another Witcher game is quite some time away, and it will kick off a new saga. While it’s likely they are moving away from Geralt as the main character, it doesn’t mean he won’t make an appearance. He could be featured in parts of the narrative. As for The Witcher Remake, Cockle could return to his original role which he starred as Geralt in the original.

I’m super excited about [The Witcher Remake], because if you think about it, when Witcher 1 was made, I was recording the voice in 2005. I think the game itself came out in 2007. That was a long time ago. That was nearly 20 years ago.

Cockle explains that the Witcher Remake will not only be a great role to return to, but as tech has now improved vastly, the graphics improvements will be quite substantial compared to the original 2007 release.

Previously Cockle has made some predictions aboutwhere the next Witcher 4title will go, as he shared the focus won’t be on Geralt this time around. There are currently theories thatCirimight take up the titular role in the next entries. Project Polaris is an intriguing one and could be full of surprises.
