ThroughoutFinal Fantasy VII Rebirth, Cloud and the gang have been keeping an eye on the mysterious robed people around the many regions. Said to be former SOLDIERS suffering from cellular degradation, they mutter and shuffle their way around, sometimes into dangerous situations. In Corel,Barret’s hometown, we meet a doctor trying to help them: Doctor Sheiran. Unfortunately, one of the robed men has been supposedly kidnapped. However, a note left by the captors is enough for Red XIII to sniff out their scent. Here’s how to find the culprits and put them, and the monsters you come across, to justice.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: How to Complete “The Hardest Sell” Mission
Kyrie’s at it again with her merc business, now with accompanying music!
Sniffing out the Kidnappers
As mentioned before, Red XIII’s incredible sense of smell proves vital in finding the robed man.Follow him out of the town and into the mountains. You’ll come across some creatures, specifically Chimeras and Sandspitters.Use fire on the Chimerasandice on the Sandspittersto weaken them.
Before long, you’ll stumble across a traveler with some meat roasting. Unless the perpetrator was a lowly explorer or a slab of meat, it’s not them. Red XIII’s nose is strong, but the need for food is much stronger. Don’t worry, I feel the same way. After that small distraction, the traveler will tell youhe saw the robed man near a chocobo carriage.

Enter the Cave
True to his word, at the entrance of a cave, there it is. Using Sheiran’s handy UV flashlight, we can see the robed man’s footsteps go into the cave.Follow them through until you get to a purple hand-printed door.
It’s important to note thatI actually do encourage you to get lost, as there are lots of treasures and supplies in the area. There are a handful of creatures in the cave, like Sandspitters and the like, somake sure to access themto unlock their weaknesses and have at it.

Opening the Door
Anyways, the marked door is, of course, locked, so you need to find a way to get in.There is a switch nearby that’ll turn on the cableways. This is where your grappling hook comes in handy.Zip up to one of the moving platformsand make your way to the other side. You’ll need to time things rightor else you’ll miss your chance or get on the wrong one. Do everything correctly,as well as hit the switch, and the door should open.
Before you enter, make sure to use the bench and store to get what you need and rest. Let’s just say the kidnappers may have a trick up their sleeves.

When you enter, you’ll see it’s a pretty stacked room with boxes and such. You’ll find the “robed man”, as well as a tattooed woman. The woman says she’s been kidnapped but it’s pretty clear they’re acting suspicious. Indeed, after a dialogue choice, our suspicions were correct and revealed a duo, of thieves hoping to turn a profit off the robed man. Despite pulling out guns, they leave the dirty work to aDark Claw.
Enemy: Dark Claw
Remember the trick up the kidnappers sleeve? Well, it’s this Dark Claw, a stronger variant of the Death Claws. What’s even worse? It doesn’t have any weaknesses. You’ll need to be good with timingin order to pressure the Dark Claw. Essentially, when it uses the Reaper Claws attack, evade out of the way and it’ll become pressured. Use that timeframe to hit them hard until they’re staggered. If you have a Limit Attack available, use it on the Dark Claw for maximum damage.Depending on your level, the HP of the enemy will change. Regardless, ensure to emphasize dodging and strong attacks when there are openings. If you’re running low on health, the aforementioned boxes can provide some support whether it be potions or MP.
Once you defeat the Dark Claw, the real robed man will appear and you’ll take him back to Doctor Sheiran. When you arrive, you’ll be treated to some interesting history for the Doctor and a few rewards:10 Party EXP, 600 EXP, Tale of the Red Warrior vol.II (10 SP for Red XIII), and a deepened relationship with Red XIII.
