Well, her Remembrance quests will clear up all your doubts. Alternatively, even if you don’t care about her story, the game has enough incentives for you to complete her quests, like unlocking her relics, chalice, and outfit.
To save you from getting stuck on a chapter, here is the full Duchess Remembrance quest guide.
Unlocking The Duchess And Revenant
Before you can start Duchess’s Remembrance quests,you first need to unlock two characters, which areDuchessherself andRevenant. For Duchess, there are two ways that you could go about it:
It doesn’t matter how you get it; once you have the Old Pocketwatch, all you need to do is talk to the Priestess, and she will ask you if she can have it back. Give Priestess the Old Pocketwatch, and you will unlock Duchess as a playable character.
Now for Revenant, you need to buy the Besmirched Frame from the Small Jar Bazaar for 1500Murkand give it to the ghoststanding in front of the painting in the eastern room from the table of lost grace.
You will now get teleported to somewhere in Limveld, whereyou will fight the Night Idol. Defeat her summons first so that they don’t interrupt your fight with the doll.Beat her, and you will unlock the Revenant.
Once she is unlocked, all that is left to do is collect Memory Fragments for the Duchess to unlock her first Remembrance quest.
How To Get Memory Fragments For Duchess
Getting Memory Fragments is quite straightforward and is the same for all characters; you get them by defeating the Nightlords while playing as the character whose fragments you want. So, in this case, you will have to play as Duchess.
There is a small chance that you may get Memory Fragments even on failed expeditions, but since it is luck-based, your chances of getting it are pretty slim. So you should try your best to defeat the Nightlords as much as possible.
Chapter 3 - Getting The Faded Iron Coins
Once you are ready,go to the library on the eastern wing of the Roundtable Hold and interact with the Journal. For Duchess, the first Remembrance quest with an objectivestarts in Chapter 3. Access it and choose “Begin Remembrance” to start the quest.
Start by talking to Raider. You can find him near the table of lost grace. Speak with him, and he will express his concern for Wylder and will ask you to check up on him.
Next,go to the room past the Journal, and you will findWylder polishing his sword. Talk to him, exhaust all his dialogue, and he will tell you to come back to him once he is done mending his tools.

For anyone looking to complete the Wylder’s Rememberance Quest, this guide is a must!
Go back to Raider, and he will ask you to “get him something to tune up his weaponry”. This will now add a personal objective to your tasks that you have to do while in Limveld during your expeditions.
Start any Nightlord expedition, and you will find a location marked on the map. Go to this location and fight the three Guardians of the Dew. Defeat them, and you may search the bright yellow bush for Golden Dew.
Now,complete the expedition, and you will get a Golden Dewas one of the rewards for it afterward.
Make sure you don’t quit after getting the item. It doesn’t matter if you defeat the Nightlord or fail the expedition; you just have to complete it to get this reward.
Upon returning to the Roundtable Hold,go back to Wylder and give him the Golden Dew. He will reward you with Faded Iron Coins for your efforts. Talk to him and exhaust all his dialogue,then go and talk to Raider.
Raider will inform you that Revenant is looking for you; you can find her in the Garden. Talk to her,and she will tell you about Wylder’s condition.
Finally,talk to Iron Menial, who you can find in the western wing of the Roundtable Hold. After exhausting his dialogue, interact with the pool with white strings flowing upward andconclude the Remembrance quest.
If you ever get stuck and can’t find an NPC, simply open the map and look for the yellow exclamation icon near the NPC icon to get their location.
Chapter 3 Rewards
For completing the first Duchess remembrance quest, you get:
The Golden Dew is a yellow relic that improves the character skill Restage’s attack power for Duchess and also raises the attack power of any affinity attacks. You can equip this relic for her with Duchess' Chalice, Duchess' Goblet, and Sacred Erdtree Grail.
This is a short quest in which you have to find Wylder. For a quick answer,you can find him in the Garden by going diagonally right while facing the painting. However, if you want to find him by using the clues, here’s what you should do:
Eat the bread and he will talk to you. Exhaust his dialogue, and he will give you some bread to keep.
Finally,go back to the Iron Menial, whom you can find outside the dresser.Talk to him and conclude the Remembrance quest.
Chapter 5 Rewards
For completing the second Duchess remembrance quest, you get:
Duchess' Chalice can be used to equip different relics for the Duchess while performing relic rites.
Chapter 6 - Revenant’s Duel And Raider’s Story
Upon starting the third Duchess remembrance quest,you will find a letter from the Revenant at the table of lost grace. She is waiting for you at the shore. Go there, and Revenant will challenge you to a fight.
Just like when unlocking Revenant, you fight her and her spirits. Defeat her, and after a series of dialogue, she will give you the Crown Medal Relic.
Next,go to the dining room and talk to Raider. Here, choose the option “Maybe we shouldn’t defeat the Nightlord”. Now, Raider will tell you a story from his past. This will add a personal objective, and you have to find the message in Limveld.
Go to the marked location on the map and defeat the Fallen Mercenaries. You can now examine the gravestone to get “Weathervane’s Words”. Complete the expedition to get it as a reward.
Once you are back at the Roundtable Hold,go to Raider, talk to him, and then choose “Share Weathervane’s message”. After the conversation is over, Raider will reward you with Double Sided Coin.you’re able to now conclude the remembrance.
Chapter 6 Rewards
For completing the third Duchess remembrance quest, you get:
The Crown Medal is a green relic that lets you reprise the dagger chain attack event upon enemies for Duchess and improve dagger attack power.
Chapter 8 - Blessing The Coin
This is the fourth and final remembrance quest for the Duchess.
If you are stuck on Chapter 7, you need more memory fragments to do this quest. You can beat already defeated Nightlords to get more fragments. Just ensure you are playing as Duchess for it to work.
Start by interacting with the table of lost grace and blessing the iron coin.
Next,talk to Iron Menial. you’re able to find him in the crypt. Exhaust his dialogue, then choose the option “Give blessed iron coin”. Initially, he will refuse but choose the option “You’re the only one I can ask” and he will agree to the task.
Now,go and talk to Wylder. You can find him in the dressing room. Exhaust all his dialogue,go back to the crypt once again, and talk to Iron Menial.
Finally,exhaust all Iron Menial’s dialogue yet again, and you will complete the final Duchess remembrance quest.
Chapter 8 Rewards
For completing the fourth Duchess remembrance quest, you get:
The blessed iron coin is a green relic. It raises your active power when defeating enemies while your Ultimate Art Finale is active. This relic also gives continuous HP recovery and Vigor +3. For the remembrance outfit, you can equip it for Duchessfrom the dresserbefore heading for the expeditions.
