This week’s GTA Online update is all about drifting, introducing new races, tuning options for existing vehicles, and plenty of discounts and rewards to claim. While it’s not the most profitable week, some fun additions make up for an otherwise stale update.

New Drift Races and Drift Tuning for Classics

Players can finally tune three classic GTA Online vehicles including the Karin Futo, Dinka Jester Classic, and RUNE Cheburek for drifting. This has been a long time coming especially for the Dinka Jester, which is based on the iconic Supra that’s routinely featured in drag races.

Plenty of Discounts and Rewards

Outside of drifting, players can try their luck at the Casino to win the Lampadati Komoda, this week’s Podium Vehicle, while the Progen Itali GTB is the prize car in the LS Car Meet Series. Place in the top three for three days in a row to win the sports car, which retails for GTA$1.1 million.

There are a few neat discounts to consider this time, with both the Enus Cognoscenti and the JoBuilt Mammatus discounted by 50%. The Dinka Jester RR is 30% off, and it’s one of the best-looking vehicles in GTA Online, even if it doesn’t perform as well as others in its price range. The Compact EMP Launcher is also 30% off; while it’s very situational, it can be useful for special cargo grinding.

If you have tons of vehicles and have been eyeing a decent garage, the Eclipse Blvd Garage Property is finally discounted by 30%. It can store up to 50 vehicles and offers interior customization, so you may show off your collection in the best light.

Players are encouraged to give the new Comunity Series a shot and earn triple GTA$ and RP rewards. Finally, there are double rewards on LS Tags, Exotic Exports, Running Back, and Lunar New Year Stunt Races.

These bonuses, challenges, and discounts are active in GTA Online from August 20, 2025, to June 27, 2025. This is also the last week to earn those fancy Lunar Year bonuses, most of which you can claim by simply logging in.

We’re still waiting for a major weekly update that doesn’t just rotate previous bonuses. The new races are neat, and drifting tuning for more vehicles is always a welcome addition, but so far, 2025 has been fairly mediocre when it comes to weekly updates for GTA Online.

Ali has been writing about video games for the past six years and is always on the lookout for the next indie game to obsess over and recommend to everyone in sight. When he isn’t spending an unhealthy amount of time in Slay the Spire, he’s probably trying out yet another retro-shooter or playing Dark Souls for the 50th time.
