There’s an immense number of materials you’re able to find and harvest in Grounded 2, far more than its predecessor, but a lot of them aren’t immediately made obvious where they’re located. One such material is clay. While you’ll be plucking twigs and grass fibers, clay is something that needs to be harvested with an Omni-Tool, and it’s not something that’s overly abundant in this ravished park. Thankfully, we know exactly where to look.

Clay Locations
Clay is relatively easy to find provided you know where to look. Clay itself is a pretty hard-to-come-by material, but if you know anything about the different soils, you’ll know there are two key places you can look to find them.
Down to Earth
As you might expect, depending on where you are in the world, clay is a very common source of soil. If you’ve ever had to dig into the ground, there’s a good chance you’ve interacted with clay in some way or another. It is the same concept in Grounded 2, as if you go into the earth, there’s a higher chance you will find clay just lying around.
The best source of finding clay in the earth is going down into an anthill. These anthills can have dire threats, but most of the ants themselves, especially the workers, won’t bother you. Simply look around these anthills, such as the one close to where you start the game, and you’ll come across clay just lying around. You might need to use yourOmni-Tool hammerto get it.

Water Sources
Another means of finding Clay is near water sources. There aren’t too many water sources around the park itself, but there are a couple of puddles (or I suppose ponds if you consider your size) near the home base in the Snackbar Front region.
Here, you will find gnats flying around, mites ready to fight you, and cloves you can pluck to build even more structures.

What Can You Make with Clay?
The biggest component you need Clay for is upgrading your Omni-Tool to allow for the Omni-Wrech, which can act as repairing items in your camp. Other than that, there are various structures and items that use this important soil.
