Castlevania Dominus Collection is an amazing collection of Castlevania games. It includes the three DS games, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow,Castlevania: Portraint of Ruinand Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, along with the original Haunted Castle arcade game and a much improved remake, Haunted Castle Revisited. Castlevania Dominus Collection was only available digitally, but from now until October 13, Limited Run Games is acceptingpre-ordersfor physical editions for PlayStation 5, Switch and Xbox Series X|S. Like with many Limited Run Games releases, there are a few different options to fit different budgets and desired collectibles.

Let’s Get Physical
The DS games are considered to be among the best 2D Castlevania games. Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow is a direct sequel to Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, where players will once again control Soma Cruz and his power of dominance, where he can wield the souls of his enemies. The original DS release incorporated the DS stylus into some primary game functions, which have been turned into quick time events to accommodate modern hardware. Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin has players controlling two protagonists: Jonathan and Charlotte, and can switch between the two characters at will. In order to prevent the return of Dracula, they also travel into nightmarish landscapes by entering paintings. Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia is the most challenging of the three. Players control Shanoa and her mastery of Glyphs as she rescues missing villagers while searching for Dracula’s caste.
The DS games are considered to be among the best 2D Castlevania games.
Haunted Castle is included as a bonus game, as it is even in a separate menu in the game selection screen from the DS titles. Haunted Castle is a 1988 Castlevania arcade, and honestly it isn’t very good. The real surprise is Haunted Castle Revisited, which is a remade and greatly improved version of Haunted Castle. The inclusion of Haunted Castle revisited elevates this collection above many others, and it is the first new 2D Castlevania game we’ve received in years.
