Capcom and other JRPGs Go on a Massive Steam Sale Until March 21

We here at Fextralife definitelyappreciate good deals. Both Capcom and a select number of JRPGs are offering great deals on Steam this week. This special, off-season sale started on March 14 and ends on June 09, 2025, at 10 AM PST. Capcom, in particular, is presumably using this time to hype up the recent announcement ofMonster Hunter Rise: Sunbreakwhich is slated to release this June 04, 2025. In this article, we’ll be discussing some of our favourite deals available right now.

In no particular order, here are our top 5 picks!

Monster Hunter Rise

As a top seller on both Capcom’s and the JRPG Sale page comesMonster Hunter Rise. This massively popular monster-slaying title was initially released for the Nintendo Switch but found its way to PC back in January of 2022. Monster Hunter Rise elevated the series to new heights (literally) by giving players access to a slew of new tools to be able to slay monsters quicker or in a more fashionable style.

This entry into the Monster Hunter series introduced theWirebugs, which allow players to zip around the battlefield withunprecedented freedom, while battling a slew ofMonsters, largeandsmall. Gone are the times that verticality only consisted of falling off cliffs, as players could now jump upward, wall run, or dash in the air.

Capcom Monster Hunter Rise

Monster Hunter Rise is a great game, that is accessible to newcomers but breathes new depth into a tried and tested formula. The game is at a 34% discount, which is a historical low. This puts the game at $39.59. This is a great time to pick up the title, as theupcoming expansion Sunbreakjust got its release date announced for June 30th.

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition

For those who want a more radical change to Monster Hunter, you always have the option of diving into the previous game,Monster Hunter World. The older, bigger brother still has tons of content available to it, especially if you pick up theIceborneexpansion.

The release of Monster Hunter World on Steam was so popular, in fact, that it peaked at239,779 playerswithin the first few days, according to steam charts.

Capcom Monster Hunter World Iceborne

Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition sits at a 50% discount, placing it at $28.98.

Resident Evil Village

Capcom’s latest entry into the Resident Evil saga was Resident Evil Village which wasreleased last year. Village continued the story and first-person perspective that RE7 took as it followed Ethan and his unlucky streak once more.

What made Resident Evil Village so successful was that it was a return to horror once more. It invited more elements from classic RE games and embraced survival horror. Puzzles, locations, and enemies felt (and sounded) like those of older titles. The castles and village that Ethan runs through are also highly reminiscent of the locations that we explored in Resident Evil 4, another fan favourite.

Capcom Resident Evil Village

And who can forget the impactful Lady Dimitrescu? The 10-foot vampire countess definitely left an impression on everyone, even those who didn’t play the survival horror game. RE: Village is currently at $29.99, as it is on a 50% discount. The game is also “Overwhelmingly Positive” on steam, with over 48,000 reviews.

Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen

Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisenis another fantastic RPG that was developed and published by Capcom. Released way back in 2016, the PC version elevated the game’s experience by improving the visuals, among other things. We considered this a really good RPG, as it scored an8.5 in our review.

This open-world action RPG features rewarding, dynamic combat. It allowed players the freedom of choosing how they approach encounters. For example, they may chop off one of the many heads of a hydra, or use flying griffins to get an aerial advantage against their foes. Solo players would also not feel too alone, as they could hire NPC companions known as Pawns. These characters would fight alongside you with AI traits that were derived from other players.

Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen

The game is extremely cheap, coming in at $8.99 at a 70% discount. This is extremely good value for money, as the main quest alone would take about 60 hours to complete. For those who want to experience absolutely everything can expect upwards of 200 hours.

Scarlet Nexus

Part action RPG, part visual novel is what I would callScarlet Nexus. Players can choose one of two different anime protagonists, Kasane or Yuito. Each of the two has their own unique storyline, but they do converge at some moments. This makes the game quite replayable as you would ideally complete it twice to experience the full story.

Scarlet Nexusalso has some extremely gorgeous anime visuals. Characters look great, as well as dazzling psychic abilities. Fights start off like any other would, but eventually become a flurry of neon lights, flames, and other digital effects. As a psychic, the heroes can both use kinetic powers to throw objects into their opponents. They can also make use of other party members’ powers by linking up their minds.

Scarlet Nexus

This game is definitely one of the sleeper hits of 2021. The game director also mentioned that he wanted tocreate a “more mature” sequelfor the game. Ananime is also in the works. It is currently at its lowest price ever, at $23.99, which equates to about a 60% discount.
