Even on the grounds of the beautiful Mt. Holly estate inBlue Prince, capitalism is the way of the world. To be more specific, gold coins are the way of the world, as they can be used to buy pretty much anything you’ll need each day.

Blue Prince: Every Outer Room, Ranked

The best rooms to draft outside of the mansion in Blue Prince.

There are a lot of ways to make money in Blue Prince, but some rooms give you a much better shot at padding out your wallet than others (which will help with those big showroom purchases).

8Root Cellar

Time to start digging

If you’re able to find a shovel (which isn’t too hard), the Root Cellar will make finding gold coins around the house much easier, as they are a common drop found in dig spots.

We recommend drafting up a workshop and trying to make a Detector Shovel (Metal Detector + Shovel) as quickly as possible, as it bears more keys and coins when digging than a normal shovel does. Don’t forget to check the Root Cellar itself if you need more cash, as it contains a ton of dig spots for you to scrounge through.

7The Freezer

Freeze your accounts, make big returns

If you’re saving up for a specific item or upgrade, or want to have more spending money when you start the next day, the Freezer is a great room for making cash when you have time to spare.

The Freezer will carry over all of your coins and gems to the next day when you enter it, but also freezes them at their current amount for the rest of the day. Don’t enter until the end of the day just to be safe, but tomorrow will be a much easier run with all that extra stuff.

6Laboratory

An experiment in finance

The Laboratory itself doesn’t contain much gold, but the computer on the desk lets you earn some extra cash by conducting experiments each day, with a variety of different money-making methods available to try out.

Specifically, you can draft plans that grant you a small amount of gold for each successful experiment or a random prize that can include gold (like a small chest). Our favorite, though, is being able to increase your daily allowance by 1 gold, permanently.

Put it all on black

It may not be the most effective or efficient way to make money, but it is by far the most fun! The Casino is a room that you’re able to unlock via the Drafting Studio, and contains a series of slot machines and an extremely powerful roulette wheel in the center.

Every entrance to the Underground areas of Mt. Holly Estate.

The Casino gives players a good sum of free coins to play with upon entering, and the prizes on the Roulette wheel can reward you with more than just money (we’ve even won some extra Allowance Tokens this way).

Where the boss signs the checks

The office has a fairly complex way of dealing out coins to the player, but if you time it correctly the payout can be absolutely massive. On the computer in the Office there is an option to spread money throughout the estate, which drops piles of coins into all of the rooms you have already drafted up to this point.

It may be tempting to draft up a Conference Room to save you the time of searching all of the rooms in the house, but we’ve found that this usually decreases the total amount of gold to collect by a large percentage. Get those running shoes on and your metal detector beeping instead.

Blue Prince Money Room (7)-1

Raid like your name is Lara Croft

The Tomb is a straightforward source of major cash: for every Dead End room that you draft in your house, a pile of five gold coins will be placed on a table inside the Tomb. It may not sound like much, but you will easily be able to find upwards of 30 coins inside the Tomb before it’s even time to call it a day.

There are also some other hidden secrets in the tomb that can earn you some cash. We recommend grabbing a Burning Glass contraption or a Torch and keeping an eye out for Mora Jai puzzle boxes behind secret walls.

Time for a bank heist

The Vault is the most obvious choice for a quick payout, dropping 40 gold coins onto the check-signing table for the player to grab as they please. It’s an expensive investment at a whopping three gems, but if you’re trying to grab one of the ultra-powerful items from the Showroom, it’s definitely worth it in the long run.

The Vault also contains four safe deposit boxes, each of which contains an Allowance Token, which will increase your starting gold at the beginning of each day by 2 gold coins per token. Keep a lookout for vault keys (and maybe for Room 8 keys as well).

1Treasure Trove

The name just fits

A late-game floorplan that is always worth drafting is the Treasure Trove, which grants you five gold coins for every time you have drafted the room, ever. Even after ten days of drafting it once per session, this will already be the most profitable room by far.

It’s also helpful that this room is extremely cheap, at a cost of just one gem to draft it. And, unlike the vault, it isn’t a dead end, giving you more options for exploring after you’ve drafted it (just don’t forget to bring a key for the weird trunk in the room).
