When you playWuchang: Fallen Feathers, the things you collect are just as important as the fights you win. Every item feels like it has a purpose and knowing which ones to hold onto makes a huge difference. Some can save you when your health is about to run out while others give you the boost you need to push through a boss fight that feels impossible.

Some items don’t even show their value right away, but end up changing how you build your character in the long run. The game doesn’t hand these items to you easily. They’re scattered in hidden spots, tucked behind tough enemies or earned after exploring strange and dangerous areas. So it’s your job to find them and we’ll show you how to.

Steamed Bunny Bun in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

10Steamed Bunny Bun

Gradually Restores Your Health

The Steamed Bunny Bun is a healing food item that restores your health bit by bit over a short period. Instead of giving you one big burst of healing like a flask, it works more like a steady drip letting you recover while still moving or fighting. This makes it perfect for moments when you’ve taken chip damage over time and want to patch yourself up without wasting a full healing potion.

You can find Steamed Bunny Buns in multiple places, but one guaranteed source is completing certain quest steps for the NPC Xuanyangzi. After beating the Monstrous Toddler boss and returning to the Reverent Temple, he’ll give you a batch of them as a thank you.

Talking to Tao Qing Merchant in Bone Whistle in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

9Bone Whistle

Get an Ally to Fight with You

The Bone Whistle is a special item that lets you call for help during certainboss battles. When used at the right time, it summons an allied NPC to fight alongside you. This can be a huge advantage because your ally can draw the boss’s attention, deal damage and create openings for you to safely attack.

Getting the Bone Whistle involves either helping the NPC Nian Suichang at Narrow Stretch or buying it from the merchant Tao Qing after giving him the Priest’s Broken Cane and paying 500 Red Mercury. Once you have it, you need to meet the right conditions for it to work, which is mainly being in a fight where that NPC can actually join in.

Maddening Incense Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

8Maddening Incense

Gives You Better Control of Your Madness

Madness in Wuchangis a push-your-luck system, as it comes with power and risk. The incense gives you control, as it charges up your Madness, and for a short time after you use it, stops that Madness from draining away.

Imagine entering a boss fight with your Madness locked in at 90%. The power boost is yours to use until you rest. That edge can let you bypass difficult phases or punish long openings. If you’re able to sustain the risk, it turns your most volatile mechanic into yourfavorite weapon.

Getting the White Jade Dumpling in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

7White Jade Dumpling

Restores Your Health Completely

The White Jade Dumpling is a healing consumable that restores your health when eaten. The healing is complete, but you need to pick your moment carefully. Eating it while an enemy is winding up a big attack could mean taking more damage before the heal kicks in.

You can only carry up to five White Jade Dumpling. Because it heals completely, this dumpling is a life saver in tight spots, especially if you’ve taken heavy damage right before a boss or if you know tough fights lie ahead. But it’s limited, so use it wisely. You’ll find one when you take down optional bosses like Lu Hongliu in the Luo Courtyard or Ai Nengqi at the Rebel Camp.

Blood of Wangdi Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

6Blood of Wangdi

Get Up to 10,000 Red Mercury

Blood of Wangdi is an item you don’t get often, but when you do, it feels like a jackpot. It’s a crystallized fruit with a strange liquid inside that looks like flowing Red Mercury. Consuming it gives you 10,000 Red Mercury instantly, which is a huge amount compared to what you normally collect from enemies.

Red Mercury is one of the most important resources in the game. You use it to buy items, improve your equipment and upgrade your skills. You usually get Blood of Wangdi by defeating a large winged monster in the Avian Marsh. It’s not an easy fight, but the payout is worth it.

5Mind Lotus Seed

Takes Away Your Despair

The Mind Lotus Seed is the single most reliable cure for one of the most punishing mechanics: Despair. Despair builds up when you’re exposed to certain hazards, like the red mist from Crimson Veins or the attacks of specific enemies such as Lantern Monks and summoned skeletons. Once the Despair meter fills completely, Wuchang dies instantly, even with no damage taken.

When you use a Mind Lotus Seed, it immediately wipes away all Despair buildup. If the effect is already active, it cures it on the spot. You can find these seeds in loot spots in later regions, especially around Zhenwu Forest. They’re also sold by the merchant Wu Gang for 160 Red Mercury, making it possible to restock without relying purely on exploration.

4Avian Tear

Gives You 100,000 Red Mercury and Maximum Madness

The moment you collect the Avian Tear, you get receive one hundred thousand Red Mercury, which is a massive amount. Normally, getting that much would take hours of farming and careful planning, but this item skips all that and hands it over in one go. But the Avian Tear isn’t just about wealth. When you consume it, your Madness gauge instantly fills to the top, and instead of slowly dropping back down like it usually does, it stays there for a good while.

As I have said before, Madness is a risky mechanic, because being in a high Madness state means you dish out much more damage and gain more Red Mercury, but it also makes you more fragile. With this item, though, you’re locked into that dangerous yet rewarding state for long enough to really make a difference. The path to the Avian Tear isn’t straightforward. To reach it you need to explore the depths of Bo Capital. Starting from the Capital Entrance Shrine, you make your way to the bone elevator and descend into a strange, eerie space. Down there, there’s a giant tree-like structure with golden metallic legs, and climbing up reveals a branch glowing faintly yellow. That’s where the Avian Tear rests, waiting for you to claim it.

3Flying Dagger

Throw Up to 10 Daggers to Deal Stab Damage

Flying Dagger lets you toss a light, stabbing knife at enemies from a short distance. When it lands, it deals physical stab damage, which is useful for picking off weakened enemies or interrupting their recovery. You can carry up to ten Flying Daggers at once.

When enemies cluster or back away, you don’t need to commit to an approach; you can chip at them safely. They’re easy to find early on, showing up in loot drops or purchasable from the merchant Wu Gang for 70 Red Mercury.

2Plumed Branch

Gives You Skyborn Might and Increases Madness

The Plumed Branch is one of the most useful items you can carry in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Getting it instantly gives you five Skyborn Might, which is the special energy you need to use your strongest skills. This means you can unleash heavy-hitting attacks right away without having to wait for the gauge to fill naturally.

But the only issue is that the Plumed Branch also pushes up your Madness meter. Madness is dangerous because it changes how Wuchang fights and unlocks risky abilities at certain levels. At half or near-full Madness, you can hit harder, but if that bar fills all the way and you die, a nasty demon will spawn at your last level-up spot. You can get Plumed Branches from specific enemy drops, such as Inner Demons and Jar Monsters, or through shrine offerings if you’re willing to take on more Madness. The item isn’t rare, but it’s not something you want to waste on minor enemies.

1Aurum Feather

Get Random Damage, Health or Stamina Buffs

The Aurum Feather is a cool little item that you get from beating a bird enemy known as a Goldwing. These birds usually show up when you’re heading the right way, so they’re both useful and sort of like signs pointing you forward. you may carry up to 99 of these and you can have still more set aside in storage. So feel free to collect lots of them as they don’t take up much space.

When you use an Aurum Feather, it gives you one random buff for a short time. It boosts either your maximum health, yourmaximum staminaor all your damage, but you don’t get to choose. That surprise factor adds a little excitement.
